Hateful content is increasing day by day on the internet and specifically social media apps. The Facebook-owned company Instagram has taken action against it and added a new alert system that will warn the user who will violate.

The company said “We will now also remove accounts with a certain number of violations within a window of time,” https://instagram-press.com/blog/2019/07/18/changes-to-our-account-disable-policy/

Appeal process to ward off imminent Instagram account blockage

The company will let you know before taking the account down so that you can appeal directly to Instagram, then they will look into your content, to see if the content really was bullying and harassment, hate speech and terrorist content, that was deleted for violating the policies.

The CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg said “If content is removed in error, we will restore the post and remove the violation from the account’s record,” Instagram is also making sure that the users are held accountable for what they post on the app.

A few days earlier the company hide the number of likes under a post, the test was executed in about a dozen countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and New Zealand.

According to Instagram “We want your friends to focus on the photos and videos you share, not how many likes they get, you can still see your own likes by tapping on the list of people who’ve liked it, but your friends will not be able to see how many likes your post has received.”
