Huawei Nova 3i and Nova 3 Launched in Pakistan

Huawei has finally launched their most awaited model Huawei NOVA 3i in Pakistan at a price of 39,999. Nova 3i was first released in August 2018 and considered to be a budget segment Smartphone with cool Features. However, the devices were only available in China and later they were introduced in India after a grand event held in New Delhi on 26 July 2018.

So far, in our opinion, Nova 3i is one of the best-budgeted smartphones in Pakistani market. The quality, features, and specifications of Nova 3i is above A series of Samsung and Lite series of Huawei. Considering the price point, we think that Nova 3i and Nova 3 both are really good options and they go easy on your pocket too unless you want to spend a fortune on high-end series of any of the leading mobile phone.

Huawei’s Overview

Huawei Technologies Co.Ltd. is a Chinese multinational networking, telecommunications equipment, and services company headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong. It is the largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer in the world, having overtaken Ericsson in 2012. Huawei is a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices.

The Huawei has carved out a comfortable space for itself in the crowded affordable Smartphone market in India. Although, some accuse it of playing too safe with an if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it approach. But the Huawei Nova 3i is a package where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Here are the various features of Huawei Nova 3i.

Features and Specifications of Nova 3i

  • 6.3-inch 19:9 FHD+ LCD display
  • Kirin 710 processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • 128GB expandable storage
  • Dual 16MP + 2MP main camera
  • Dual 24MP + 2MP front camera
  • 3340mAh battery
  • Android 8.1 Oreo

Design & Build Quality

There’s a decent-sized bezel around the display, but the curved corners make up for the larger size. It fits well in the palm, but at 169 grams, it is neither very light nor a heavy one and it might take a few days to get used to it. That aside, the Huawei Nova 3i looks good and has a solid build quality. Huawei Nova 3i measures 157.6mm tall, 75.2mm wide, 7.6mm thick and heavier at 169g. Due to the bigger display, the capacitive keys are now on-screen keys. Moving on, the back panel also has a centrally placed fingerprint sensor and the Huawei branding below it. The device has slim body design and is definitely going to grab most people’s attention.

The device came with a glossy metal body with an enchanting glass back that gives it a premium look despite it being a mid-range model. The blend of black color and a shiny surface on the back with the continuously-shifting outside light reflection is an immediate eye-catcher. Since the phone body is a metallic one, the handset is slightly on the heavier side but we got used to its weight within a few days. This is a sturdy phone and looks as if it could take some falls in its stride. The body, due to its glossy finish, expectedly registers fingerprints and smudges.Huawei Nova 3i Price and Review

Display

Huawei Nova 3 features what looks like a glass-on-glass design. The phone features a 6.3 notched 18:5:9 Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340. The company’s logo lies towards the bottom of the rear panel. The screen in itself is impressive; it offers vibrant colors and wide viewing angles. Overall, the screen looks sharp and can also get pretty bright. Users can pick color temperature to be Warm, Cold and Default. The sunlight legibility is not one of the best suits of the device and the display looks slightly the same way when viewed from a certain angle.  There’s the familiar notch stacked at the top edge of the immersive display.

Notches aren’t an automatic space-saver, though. The notch isn’t only about looks. Like a taller aspect ratio, a notch helps you fit more screen in the same footprint while leaving room for the camera and sensors. You might not be using that chunk of the screen very often anyway. The middle section of the status bar is usually empty (unless you’re the type to let notifications pile up for hours). Moving the status bar content up to space on either side of the notch essentially gives you more space for things that aren’t the status bar.Huawei Nova 3i

Camera

Huawei Nova i3 has Four Cameras With AI feature to Optimized the Camera to get perfect shots. This Feature Ensures that you get impressive results with the Camera. This Nova 3i has stacked with 24MP + 2MP Camera on the front & 16MP + 2MP on the Back to capture great images with AI feature. The phone’s camera bump is, in fact, most probably required by the main camera’s more sophisticated optics and stabilization.  Zoom lenses require greater depth than modern phone designs can afford, and digital zoom trades away image quality.

HUAWEI nOVA 3I CAMERA

A combination of one monochrome and one color sensor captures three times the light of an ordinary camera, resulting in much better sharpness and clarity. The prominence of these improvements will depend on the circumstances — they are most apparent when shooting close-ups — but it’s already clear that Huawei has built its best camera yet and the secondary sensor is the critical part responsible for it.

It comes with six camera modes including Aperture, Portrait, Photo, and Video, AR lens and More, which includes 9 additional modes such as Pro, Slow-mo, Night, HDR, Panorama and more. On top of that, the camera also comes with AI enhancements and other intricate settings. HUAWEI Nova 3i can beautify you with the advanced algorithm to be natural and appealing. Also, HUAWEI Nova 3i features an HDR Pro which customization delivers precision-balanced photographs and videos with real-time preview even in direct sunlight. Focusing happens quickly, but under the low light situation, it can be a little sluggish. Images clicked in portrait mode looked exceptionally good, thanks to the accurate focusing.

Graphics

The performance required to run the device’s Graphical interface is provided by Mali-G51 MP4 chipset which delivers great intensity to the visuals. It Enables rich, responsive user experiences for gaming and modern user interfaces.Nova 3i review

The Arm Mali-G51 High Area Efficiency GPU is the first GPU to take the Bifrost graphics architecture to mainstream devices. Focused on efficiency, the Mali-G51 provides best ever energy efficiency and improves area efficiency and performance density over the previous generation of devices. Mali-G51 is also the smallest Vulkan enabled GPU and brings complex content such as Virtual Spaces and 360 videos to the mainstream market.

Software

The device runs Huawei’s EMUI 8.2 skin based on Android 8.0 Oreo, and should hopefully receive a Pie-based update as all major launches of this year now are expected to come with the latest operating system. The interface is loaded with plenty of bloatware in the form of both Huawei and third-party apps and games.Nova 3i review

There are even numerous build-in features such as one-handed operation, Motion control, and even voice control. Also, the settings app can look a little cluttered because of the sheer amount of things to tweak. Apart from the usual set of utility apps and Google apps, the phone comes with Facebook, Instagram, Facebook, and some games preinstalled, however, these can be uninstalled.

Storage & Battery

The device comes in 3 variants with 2 storage options. 128 GB, 4 GB RAM or 64 GB, 4/6 GB RAM. Out of 128GB storage, you get 112GB free storage, out of 4GB RAM, 3.65GB is usable, out of which 1.83GB is free on boot when default apps are running in the background. The storage can be further extended up to 256 GB with the help of an external microSD card (uses SIM slot 2).

The handset came with a Non-removable Li-Ion 3340 mAh battery. It can last for the whole day even with heavy use, thanks to the optimization, and it should last more than a day with casual use. It also has power saving mode and ultra-power saving mode to increase the battery life.

Hardware & CPU

The device is powered by Hisilicon Kirin 710, Octa-core (4×2.2 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) chipset fabricated on a 12nm process. The new chipset represents the biggest leap in power for Huawei’s lower-tier phones since 2016. It’s unclear whether the processor is indeed a successor to the Kirin 650 series of budget chips. The chipset has a massive improvement upon the older mid-range chipsets. It packs four lightweight Cortex-A53 cores and four Cortex-A73 cores which, while not as powerful as the latest Cortex-A75 and A55 cores, still represent a big upgrade.Nova 3i review

The SoC has support for LTE Cat12 and Cat13. It also supports dual SIM dual 4G VoLTE. It is a feature that is being introduced across the mid-end devices these days. The Kirin 710 doesn’t have dedicated hardware for AI in the form of an NPU.

QMoji

Huawei Nova 3i has an Aperture, Portrait, AR lens that also comes with 3D animoji that can animate your facial expressions, movements, and voice to generate personalized Qmoji GIFs or videos as well as AR effects using 3D objects. It helps to Animate the Emoji with your facial expressions, movement and voice to add a dose of personality & creative fun to your messaging. 3D Qmoji is similar to Apple’s Animoji feature. You have six different characters that mimic your head movements but aren’t as accurate as Animojis.

This Phone has 3D Qmoji feature which helps to animate the Emoji with your facial expressions, movement, and voice to add a dose of personality & creative fun to your messaging. A great feature to bring your social sharing to life.

Misc

The phone comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the back, which is comfortable to unlock when you are holding the phone. It unlocks the phone quickly. In this phone, you can add up to 5 fingerprints. And then there is a Fingerprint recognition option, which helps users to find out which fingerprint belongs which ID.

The phone has a volume rocker and the power button on the right side, hybrid dual SIM slot on the left, secondary microphone on the top, and the 3.5mm audio jack, Micro USB port, primary microphone and the loudspeaker grill on the bottom. Like the P20 Lite, this has a Hybrid dual SIM slot that accepts two nano SIM cards or a nano SIM and a microSD. Besides these the device ports gyroscope, light sensor, accelerometer, & compass.

Overview

The Huawei Nova i3 is the best budget phone with cool features & great overall specs to give you a great smartphone in the budget. This Smartphone has some more amazing features like super slow motion, smart shopping with AI, 360 Degree Face Unlock & many more.

It’s good to go with the brand new Huawei Nova 3i as it offers premium features wrapped around in a premium package. With exciting, features like Qmoji & AI shopping, this is a phone to look out for.  The only thing that keeps it from being compared to a flagship smartphone is its performance for the price.
