Everything You Want To Know About Audi’s First Electric SUV In Pakistan

TechnologyEverything You Want To Know About Audi’s First Electric SUV In Pakistan

If you had been hearing about Audi’s Electric SUV for months and months down the line and now know it is in Pakistan, you are in the right place. If you didn’t know it was introduced in Pakistan but are still a big Audi fan, you are still in the right place. Audi Pakistan has revealed their all-electric E-Tron Quattro in Pakistan and since then the car geeks have been going crazy all over it. And they should because it is stunning, astounding, and worth the huge price tag it carries.

Audi has ventured in the E-vehicle market for the first-time taking head-on competitors like Jaguar with its I-Pace, Tesla with its Model X, and Mercedes with its EQC. The E-Tron is here to give the competition to all the big names. Let’s discuss what this car is about and if it is worth the fuss or not.

How Does The Car Look Like?

This is the first question, especially for those who aren’t big on specifications and nitty-gritty. On the exterior, it isn’t a lot different and is equally gorgeous and similar to the other models in the electric vehicle lineup. It has an optional matrix LED headlamp and has a futuristic look to it.

The car has a technology that makes sure the intensity of the lights will be autonomously controlled, increased or decreased, depending on the traffic. It has a dynamic flashing light and an LED light strip at the back.

Finally, there is a virtual exterior mirror. This mirror ensures that the safety of the car is increased while decreasing the resistance to air at the same time. There is a small camera at the exterior rear-view mirror as well, which allows the images to be digitally projected to an OLED display at the door.

What’s The Interior Like?

If you were awed by the grandiosity of the car from the outside, wait till you read what all it entails from the inside. It is a spacious car with a clear cabin that has a two-tone combination. The real-time data and instant situations are displayed right in the middle of the dashboard via a virtual cockpit. There are multiple storage spaces throughout the cabin alongside the total storage capacity of 660 liters.

The glass sunroof is panoramic and has LED projector lights kitted in both the front and the rear of the car. The interior light can be dimmed. There is a complete infotainment system with a Bluetooth interface to control it. The sound offered by the car is premium and is powered by Bang and Olufsen.

As we touched upon in the exterior section, there is a digital gauge cluster called the virtual cockpit with two flush-mounted touchscreens in the center. There are WiFi hotspots and wireless charging as well.

What Gives This Car An Edge?

Audi is the first car in the world to offer an electro-hydraulically integrated brake control system in an electric car ever. With the help of this feature, the electric car can recharge itself on more than 90% of its deceleration. You can either charge the car at your home at any charging station. It will take a total of 9 hours to charge at the best of its capacity.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has given E-Tron Quattro five stars for crash-test rating, making it one of the safest cars globally. The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IHSA) has also awarded it with the Top Safety Pick+. Not just this, but the car has adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, self-parking assist, and automated emergency braking among a host of other multiple driving aids to make sure you are always safe and sound on the crazy roads.

How Is The E-Tron Quattro Powered?

The E-Tron Quattro is powered by a maximum output of 300kW. It has a feature called optimum traction, which allows the driver to experience Quattro drive in its full glory. There are two electric motors dedicated to each axle with 420hp dedicated to the car. The Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure has ranked the car at a range of 417km on a single battery charge. That is huge. You get the maximum speed of 200km/h and can go from nothing to 100km/h in less than 5.7 seconds.

The car uses fast chargers of 150.0kW DC for a range of 80km in less than ten minutes and can go up to 260km for less than half an hour. The power it exudes to take you places in indeed staggering and worthy of the stature this car has.

How Much Is It Going To Cost?

Finally, for all the features it offers, you can expect to pay a fortune to get it. Set yourself up for a surprise, still, because Audi has priced this premium beauty at Rs. 15,500,500. It comes with a warranty of 8-year or a total of 160,000km on the e-Tron’s high-voltage battery.

Audi Pakistan has announced that the car is available for booking. If you are a car lover and have the money to spare, we don’t think there is a better auto deal to make than investing in this beast.
