New Year means new beginnings and being thankful for what we had in the previous year. 2021 was filled with many new things, especially in the tech market. Many companies brought forward interesting gadgets with engaging campaigns for their users. One such brand is TECNO, the leading smartphone brand, which introduced not only phones but some very interesting campaigns for consumers.

Let’s go through what TECNO brought for Pakistani consumers in 2021.

Photowalk

Starting the year with a Photowalk with the fans, TECNO welcomed 2021 with a bang. The brand arranged photowalks in all major cities of Pakistan including Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. This campaign was designed for its Camon 16 series which is also known as the “Camera King series”.

Thailand Trip

In March, TECNO offered bumper prize-winning scratch cards with the purchase of Spark 6 Go that gave buyers a chance to win exciting prizes including a new device, gadgets, and even a trip to Thailand, resulting in a huge sale. Later during the PSL season, TECNO conducted the “Cricket Ka Junoon” activities in the major cities of Pakistan where fans got special discounts, gifts, and more.

The Spark Girl

Right after this, TECNO launched its Spark 7 Pro – the all-rounder phone with remarkable specs and price. Minal Khan, the gorgeous Spark girl that perfectly embodied all the aspects of TECNO Spark 7 Pro was introduced as the ambassador for the phone. The phone was a hit with thousands of units sold out in just an hour and Minal Khan’s DVC being the top trend.

Born to Stand Out!

TECNO launched the ‘Born to Stand out Campaign’ with its Camon 17 series, which highlighted the emerging talents of Pakistan who specialize in different areas. The campaign was an instant hit providing young people a platform to showcase their talent. This reached masses as an inspiration for everyone, motivating them to come forward with their own unique talents.

Fans trip to Khunjerab Pass!

TECNO is all about its fans! The brand arranged a five-day Photowalk for the Camon 17 series to Khunjerab Pass. Fans, photographers and some of TECNO members Some photographers not only traveled to Hunza and explored its beauty but also shared their skills on social media using the Camon 17 series which reveals the phone’s brilliant photography features.

Phantom X – The first Flagship phone!

In August, TECNO brought something entirely new for the fans – The premium phone, PHANTOM X. the phone was not only the first flagship phone from the brand in Pakistan but brought a new experience of a Borderless AMOLED screen for TECNO users.

The highlight of this phone was not only the clear 6.67” FHD+ AMOLED Borderless Screen but its aesthetically designed body. With Ultra-Thin-In-display Fingerprint, double-curved 3D glass integrated body, AG process, 3D depth of field textured light effect, and much more, Phantom X took attractive body designs to another level.

Campus Activities and POVA challenges!

What more can a smartphone brand bring for its consumers? TECNO proved to have a lot in stores for the fans.

After the success of multiple campaigns, the brand engaged the sensational Pakistani model and television host, Mathira for POVA 2 Battery Endurance challenges. Ducky Bhai, Laraib Khalid, Ahmad OP, the TikTok couple Kanwal and Zulqarnain, and the very entertaining Pantangeer’s Amtul and Fahad accepted the battery challenges.

They did live sessions, fun videos, gaming sessions, watched hours of movies, and much more as part of the challenge to drain the 7000mAh battery of POVA 2 but all failed. Moreover, TECNO PUBGM Campus Championship to universities in Islamabad and Lahore for fun-filled competitions engages hundreds of students to participate and win.

Last but not least! Gimbal technology and Celebrity collaborations!

At the end of 2021, TECNO introduced its Camon 18 series with the latest Gimbal Technology. The 18 Premier became an instant hit especially among photographers, vloggers, and videographers for its smooth and steady shots and the 60X zoom.

Moreover, Ahmad Ali Akbar and Sehar Khan were taken as local Ambassadors for the Camon 18t phone. The Camon 18t TVC became a great hit with a beautifully portrayed story of destined meetings staring the ambassadors. The series brought a lot of new features and professional camera experiences for the fans like gimbal, hyper-zoom, periscope lens, a bigger selfie camera, massive storage, and much more.

With all this in view, we have some high hopes for TECNO’s campaigns in 2022!

Mushaal Malik seeks global community intervention to end Indian oppression in IIOJK ISLAMABAD: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, wife of an unlawfully incarcerated senior Hurriyat Leader Mohammad Yasin Malik, stated that the supremacist Indian occupation authorities had been committing war crimes and violating international human rights with impunity in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) since October 27, 1947 to perpetuate its illegitimate occupation on Kashmir. Speaking at a Kashmir solidarity rally taken out in Islamabad to mark Kashmir Black Day, she said that the people of Kashmir had been enduring the tyrannies of Hindutva regime during the past 77 years but these oppressions and coercive tactics could not dampen their courage. Mushaal, who is also the Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation, expressed serious concerns about safety and wellbeing of her jailed husband because the Indian notorious government was hell-bent to silence to most powerful voice of Kashmiri freedom struggle in a fake, fabricated and absurd case. She highlighted that the occupation authorities converted the scenic valley into a garrison city and a killing field, as even Kashmiri children could not go to school right now because parents were imprisoned for their crimes to raise voice of their right to self-determination. However, the Hurriyat leader stated that despite all these hardship and reign of terror unleashed by the brutal forces, Kashmiris remained steadfast struggling for seven decades to break the shackles of Indian slavery. Mushaal went on to say that when the people stand together, freedom can be achieved, with the people's voice, even the mightiest of tyrants can be defeated. The Hurriyat leader stated that people in the occupied valley were not even safe inside their own homes, as bodies of their leaders and loved ones were not returned to them. She highlighted the ordeal faced by Kashmiri leaders, saying Asiya Andrabi held in Tihar Jail, whose health deteriorated alarmingly in jail. She emphasized the importance of remembering this day annually, saying, “Every Pakistani stands in solidarity on this day.” Mushaal encouraged young Pakistanis to launch campaigns through social media, highlighting that Pakistan’s founding leader, Quaid-e-Azam, also placed trust in the power of youth. “You can become our powerful voice today,” she stated, urging them to remain steadfast for Kashmir. Mushaal recalled that India had resettled millions of Indian nationals in the region unlawfully to alter its demographic makeup, aiming to turn it into what she termed a mini-India. She called upon the international community to hold India accountable for its excesses in IIOJK and to support the Kashmiri people's struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination. Mushaal vowed that the people of Kashmir have endured decades of oppression, but their resolve remains unbroken. However, she urged the international community and human rights organizations to shun the double-standard and take note of Indian worst human rights violations so as to resolve the Kashmir dispute once for all in accordance to the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.
