PESHAWAR: A suspected Punjabi Taliban commander, involved in Dera Ismail Khan Jailbreak last week, has been arrested in injured condition, police claimed.

Pakistani Taliban insurgents had freed nearly 250 inmates, including 35 high-profile militants during a brazen overnight attack on the central jail in Dera Ismail Khan on July 30.

The suspect, identified as Mujahid Ahmed alias Faqeer Baba, has revealed that planning of the jailbreak was carried out in South Waziristan, said the sources.

Police said that he has been taken to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
