SOCHI: Netherlands’ Stefan Groothuis won the gold medal in the men’s speed skating 1,000 meters event on Wednesday at the Adler Arena during the Sochi Winter Olympics Games.
Denny Morrison from Canada took the silver medal, while the bronze medal went to another Dutch skater, Michel Mulder.
