Currently, Islamabad United is at 2nd number in PSL 2017 Points Table followed by Quetta Gladiators. Though both Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators possess 2 points each after playing one game each but as per net run rate, Gladiators is at the top.

Islamabad United emerged victorious in the opening match of the PSL 2017 on February 9 against Peshawar Zalmi, and registered its sixth consecutive victory in the Pakistan Super League.

Islamabad United’s Muhammad Irfan along with Shahzaib Hasan and Zulfiqar Babar was also questioned by the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) anti-corruption unit over match fixing allegations but according to PSL Chairman Najam Sethi, they have not been placed under suspension yet.

The rival Lahore Qalandars has yet to find a way to bag its first win in PSL 2017 as in its inaugural match against Quetta Gladiators yesterday, it was beaten by 8 runs.

Today’s second match will be played between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators in Dubai.

Karachi Kings also lost its first game last night against Peshawar Zalmi whose Eoin Morgan’s unbeaten 80 runs helped reach the modest target of 119 in 18.3 overs.
