The long-lasting issue of batting fragility still remains with Pakistan Cricket Team as it lost four wickets in just six balls in first innings but yet as also tagged ‘unpredictable’, it eventually won the second Test match against Australia by 373 runs (PTV Sports Live).

With this victor at Abu Dhabi, Pakistan also won the two-match Test Series against Australia.

The second Test produced some remarkable individual performances from Pakistan especially by Mohammad Abbas and debutant Fakhar Zaman.

Fakhar Zaman scored 160 runs in his both innings with 94 and 66 runs each; however, it was more of Mohammad Abbas who really turned the match in Pakistan’s favour.

Mohammad Abbas picked up 10 wickets in the second Test with two back-to-back fifers. Overall, he took 17 wickets in the Test series, and earned Man of the Series award.

In its first innings, though three of Pakistan’s middle order batsmen got out for duck but yet Fakhar Zaman and Captain Sarfraz Ahmed with 94 runs each helped Pakistan to post 282 runs on the board.

Nathan Lyon and Marnus Labuschagne were the most successful bowlers for Australia with four and three wickets respectively.

In reply Australia had to face even more problems and the whole team was bowled out for just 145 runs. Besides Mohammad Abbas’s fifer, Bilal Asif also grabbed three wickets.

Pakistan returned for the second innings with better approach, and ended the second innings on 400 for nine. Babar Azam with 99 scored highest runs for Pakistan.

In the quest of fulfilling a mammoth task of scoring 538 runs to win the match, Australia again struggled, and lost all of its batsmen for 164. Yasir Shah took three wickets while Mir Hamza took one wicket apart from Abbas’s five.
