West Indies will resume its first innings on 106 runs for 4 on Sunday at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi with 346 more runs required to reach Pakistan’s first innings score.

In reply to Pakistan’s first innings score of 452, West Indies didn’t have a bad start and had lost 2 wickets on 106 runs. But then two quick wickets put West Indies once again under pressure in the series.

Both West Indian openers Leon Johnson and Darren Bravo were given out leg before wicket (LBW) on 12 and 43 runs respectively. Later when second day’s play was about to end, Kraigg Brathwaite was run out on 21 followed by the dismissal of Marlon Samuels for 30.

For Pakistan, Rahat Ali took 2 wickets whereas 1 wicket went into Yasir Shah’s account.

Earlier in the morning, Pakistan resumed its first innings on 304 runs for 4 but Misbah-ul-Haq could add only 6 more runs and got out on 96. The nightwatchman Yasir Shah scored 23 runs followed by the dismissal of Sarfraz Ahmed who scored 56 runs.

In the end, Pakistan was all out for 452 runs with Younis Khan’s 127 runs as the leading scorer. West Indies’ Shannon Gabriel grabbed his first 5-wicket haul in Test match.

Jason Holder picked up 3 wickets while Devendra Bishoo and Kraigg Brathwaite secured 1 wicket each.

This is the second Test of three-match series being played in Abu Dhabi from October 21-25. Earlier in the first day-night Test played with Pink ball at Dubai International Cricket Stadium from October 13-17, Pakistan beat West Indies by 56 runs.
