Both the teams have played each other three times at a World Cup in 1992, 1996 and 1999, and South Africa have won all three matches.
Again South Africaare a very strong side and among the world cup favourites, so for Pakistan, it is not going to be an easy game at all.
Pakistan are desperate to win a game against a strong team like South Africa to gain their confidence. A win against South Africa on Saturday will also pave the way for Pakistan to reach quarter-finals, otherwise they will be struck in a do or die situation against Ireland on March 15.
“Everybody is determined. We all know that this is an important game if we really want to progress in this World Cup. We’re really focused, determined, and looking forward to this game,” Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq said while talking about next encounter with South Africa.
