Earlier, West Indies beat Zimbabwe by 73 runs in the ICC World Cup Pool-B match at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on Tuesday.

While batting first, West Indies made 372 runs for the loss of two wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

The hard-hitting lefthander Chris Gayle hit the first ever double century in a world cup match as he scored 215 runs off 147 balls with 16 sixes and 10 fours while Marlon Samuels hit unbeaten 133 with three sixes and 11 fours.

Both the players also set a new world record of second wicket partnership of 372 runs in one-day international (ODI) cricket.

In reply, Zimbabwe were all out at 289 runs in 44.3 Overs. For West Indies, Taylor and Holder grabbed three wickets each and Chris Gayle took two wickets.
