There are thunderstorms forecast for Wednesday afternoon, so there is a chance the match will go into its reserve day on Thursday.

If Pakistan win the match, they will not only clinch the five-match ODI series but will also qualify for the ICC Champions Trophy to be held in England in 2016.

Earlier in the third ODI played at Colombo on July 19, Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 135 runs.

Pakistan while batting first made 316 runs for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. In reply, Sri Lanka made 181 runs all out in 41.1 overs.

Pakistan’s Wicket Keeper-batsman Sarfraz Ahmed was the top scorer with 77 runs followed by Muhammad Hafeez with 54 runs. The leg spinner Yasir Shah picked up four wickets for Pakistan.

On the other hand, Lahiru Thirimanne remained the top scorer for Sri Lanka with 56 runs.
