SYDNEY: The first quarter-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be played between South Africa and Sri Lanka at the Sydney cricket ground on Wednesday.

The match is scheduled to begin at 08:30 am as per Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

The Sri Lankan side qualified for the quarter-finals from Pool A whereas South Africa were part of the Pool B.

“All I can say is we’re not going to choke. We’re just going to play a good game of cricket tomorrow and come out on top. Simple,” the South African captain AB de Villiers said.

“I hope the toss isn’t vital. Look, generally the wickets have been extremely good, so we’ve seen teams chasing 300 as well. So if a team bats first and if they get to the 300 mark the game is not yet over.”
