Talking to media, Mohsin Naqvi said that no stadium in Pakistan is capable enough to host international cricket. He said that we are still living in the 1980s, the facilities in our stadiums such as seats and bathrooms are not even matching any modern-day stadium in the world.
“The situation of current stadiums in Pakistan is very alarming. We don’t have seats to match modern standards, washrooms are below par and the view from the crowd is as if you’re watching the match from 500 meters away,” he said.
“We need to upgrade them at any cost,” he emphasized.
The PCB Chairman also said that the Stadium in New York was constructed 10-15 days before the T20 World Cup, we will upgrade all our stadiums well before that.
Mohsin Naqvi said that we are also trying to build a hotel near Gaddafi Stadium, the paperwork has been done, and now only its model remains an issue.
About the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy, Mohsin Naqvi said that the final of the mega event will be played in Lahore.
