ISLAMABA, Pakistan: The French Football Manager and former Player Nicolas Anelka reached Islamabad on Tuesday morning as part of the World Soccer Stars 2019 initiative of the TouchSky Group.

“Salam Pakistan, it’s Nicolas Anelka. I am coming so get ready,” Anelka said in a video statement prior to his arrival in Islamabad. 

The 39-year old Nicolas Anelka, who also played for Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, will meet the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Syed Ashfaq Shah.

“Anelka will meet the new president of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Syed Ashfaq Shah [in Islamabad] to reinforce the development of the 20 point agenda to uplift football,” the TouchSky Group said in a press release on Saturday.

Nicolas Anelka will also hold a Press Conference in Islamabad today.

The group also said that Anelka is “a crucial signing in pursuit to revive and uplift football in Pakistan”.

TouchSky is organizing the World Soccer Stars event in Pakistan from April 26-29, 2019 in Lahore and Karachi.

Besides, Nicolas Anelka, Brazilian legend Ricardo Kaka and Portuguese great Luis Figo will also play exhibition matches as part of World Soccer Stars 2019.

Anelka also visited Pakistan in July 2017 along with Ronaldinho, Ryan Giggs, Robert Pires, George Boating, David James and Luis Boa Morte, and played two matches in Karachi.
