ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Executive Committee Chairman Najam Sethi on Friday ruled out any bilateral series between Pakistan and India in the neighboring eastern Country.
In a statement on Twitter, Najam Sethi said that as per agreement signed between the PCB and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), India is bound to play a bilateral series either in Pakistan or any neutral venue.
Najam Sethi said that Pakistan would not retreat from the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), it inked with India in 2014.
“PCB policy is Pak will NOT play India in India UNTIL India has played Pak in Pak/Third Country as per 2014 MoU. This is non-negotiable,” the PCB Executive Committee Chairman said.

His statement comes a day after the PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan said that the PCB was willing to send Pakistan team to India for a bilateral series but it was the BCCI which didn’t let it happen.
“We are ready to play in India, but the Board of Control for Cricket in India is not ready to let the Indian team play against us even in their own country,” Shahryar Khan said on Thursday while talking to media at Karachi Press Club.
Earlier this month, the PCB sent a notice to the BCCI for breaching the 2014 MoU signed by the two Cricket Boards. However in a reply, the BCCI Secretary Amitabh Chaudhry said that no formal agreement had taken place between the two boards with regard to future plans.
The BCCI Secretary further said that the Indian Cricket Board required the permission from the government of India for playing the series against Pakistan.
“Nowhere in the contract that we signed with BCCI does it say that playing against Pakistan is subject to their government’s permission,” Shahryar Khan further said.
