LAHORE, Pakistan: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has included Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz and Asif Ali in the 15-member World Cup Squad, replacing earlier named Faheem Ashraf, Junaid Khan and Abid Ali.

The replacements were announced by the Chief Selector Inzamam Ul Haq in a Press Conference in Lahore on Monday.

In the squad initially announced on April 18, these three players couldn’t make their way to the World Cup Squad; though, Mohammad Amir and Asif Ali were included in the squad for the England Series.

However Amir contracted a viral infection and could’t feature in the ODI series whereas Asif Ali smashed two fifties.

Inzamam Ul Haq also announced that Shadab Khan has fully recovered from his injury, and would be available to represent the Country in the upcoming event.

Talking about the inclusion of Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz, Inzamam said that considering the pitches in England and experience of both these players, they were given preferences over others.

It is worth noting that Wahab Riaz played his last One Day International (ODI) against India at Birmingham on June 4, 2017. He conceded 87 runs in his 8.4 overs in that match.
