ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: India and Pakistan will face off twice in 2 months in Twenty20 Internationals, first in Asia Cup and next in World T20 2016.

The World T20 schedule with Asia Cup being played in T20 format for the first time this year, India and Pakistan are scheduled to meet in Dhaka on February 27 (Saturday).

After this clash, the neighbours will lock horns again, in ICC World T20, on March 19 in Dharamsala. The two sides are in Group 2 in Super 10 stage, Cricket World reported.

Asia Cup will be held in Bangladesh with 5 teams in action. The tournament starts on February 24 and concludes on March 6 (Sunday).

Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and a qualifier will battle it out. Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman and United Arab Emirates will play a qualifying tournament and the topper will make the main draw.

According to the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) website, Asia Cup opens with India and hosts Bangladesh playing on February 24.
