SportsICC Champions Trophy: England qualifies for final by beating SA

LONDON: England has qualified for the final of ICC Champions Trophy beating South Africa by seven wickets in their Champions Trophy semi-final at The Oval on Wednesday.

Bating first‚ South Africa were all out on 175 runs in 38.4 overs.

In reply‚ England achieved the target in 37.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Jonathan Trott with 82 while Joe Root with 48 runs remained the main scrorers.

James Tredwell of England who took 3 wickets was declared man of the match.

The second semi-final will be played between India and Sri Lanka at Cardiff tomorrow.
