SportsPSLAB de Villiers confirms to arrive in Lahore for PSL 2019 matches

Just two days after Multan Sultans and Pakistan Super League (PSL) were dealt a strong blow after Australia’s Steve Smit was ruled out of the mega event for elbow injury, South Africa’s legendary batsman AB de Villiers has confirmed his arrival in Pakistan for PSL 2019 T20s.

AB de Villiers will represent Lahore Qalandars in HBL PSL 2019 slated to begin on February 14.

Out of a total of 34 matches, eight T20 will take place in Karachi and Lahore respectively.

Lahore Qalandars led by Mohammad Hafeez will play two back to back matches at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 9 and 10 against Islamabad United and Multan Sultans.

Meanwhile in a statement, the Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ehsan Mani welcomed the decision of AB de Villiers to play PSL matches in Pakistan. He hoped that spectators will enjoy the best of cricket at Qaddafi Stadium.
