ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: South Korea has increase the quota of Pakistani labour from the next year while Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) has sent around 5500 workers to South Korea so far since 2008 and the process is still continuing.

An official source here on Monday told media that Pakistani workers in South Korea are earning a handsome salary per month and from the next year 1100 to 1400 more workers would be sent there.

He said that Pakistan has also asked the Human Resource Development Department of South Korea to give an opportunity to our labour in the sectors like fisheries, agriculture and construction.

He said illegal stay of workers in South Korea is creating problems for the other workers and urged for making strict policy in this regard.

United Arab Emirates has also demanded the huge manpower from Pakistan for the World Expo 2020 including skilled and unskilled labour but steps are being taken to make progress in this regard, he added.

The government of Qatar has also asked for labour from Pakistan for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.

Pakistan has sent over 2000 medical doctor to Saudi Arabia from 2001 to 2015 and currently officials of the Health Ministry of Saudi Arabia were on visit here to select more doctors for their different hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he added.

Every three months, Saudi Health Ministry officials visit Pakistan for the selection of medical doctors in the different specializations.
