LAHORE, Pakistan: A delegation led by the Vice President South Asian Development Forum Ms. Shreen Arshad Khan met the Managing Director Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) Jameel Ahmed Jameel at his Office in Lahore on Wednesday.

Other members of the delegation included Ms. Ayesha Farooqi, Alia Khan, and Mohammad Yaseen. The Director Planning Khawaja Imran was also present in the meeting.

On this occasion, the compliments were mentioned that women of South Punjab are hardworking and they can play an important role in the economic development of the region if they are given the opportunity.  It was noted that these women have a unique importance across the Country.   On the occasion, Jameel Ahmed Jameel said that Blue Pottery, Camel Skin, Glasswork, Embroidery, Apparel and other handicrafts products manufactured in South Punjab are in demand all over the world and overseas Pakistani. The managing director PSIC said that the big investors can play role for reducing the regional poverty and backwardness significantly.  Jameel Ahmed directed the Regional Director Punjab Small Industries Corporation Bahawalpur to resolve the issues and assist the delegation in Bahawalpur.

On this occasion, the compliments were mentioned that women of South Punjab are hardworking and they can play an important role in the economic development of the region if they are given the opportunity.

Chief of the Air Staff expressed his gratitude for the honour of receiving the Bahrain Medal - First Class. On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
