RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Indian forces once again committed unprovoked ceasefire violation and killed two innocent Pakistani women along the Working Boundary in Sialkot Sector, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement issued on Thursday, the IPSR said that the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) continued unprovoked ceasefire violations and targeted civil population along the Working Boundary in village Kundan Pur, Chaprar, Sialkot Sector overnight.

The ISPR said that as a result of Indian firing, two women were martyred while five other civilians including three women got injured.

Pakistan Rangers Punjab effectively responded to neutralize BSF posts, the ISPR added.

The Indian ceasefire violations continue despite the fact that Pakistan has consistently been asking India to abide by the 2013 ceasefire agreement, and avoid targeting civilian populated areas.

In just first 18 days of 2018, the Indian forces have carried out more than 100 ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary, according to the Foreign Office. While last year, the Indian forces committed more than 1900 ceasefire violations.

Last Monday, the Foreign Office summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner in Islamabad J.P. Singh and condemned the escalation in ceasefire violations by India.
