RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Three Pakistani Civilians were injured when the Indian army once again committed unprovoked ceasefire violation along the Working Boundary on Thursday.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the Indian forces targeted innocent civilians when they resorted to firing in Zafarwal Sector which resulted in injuries to three innocent civilians.
The ISPR said that in response, Pakistan army targeted the Indian post and killed one Indian soldier while injured further two. It said that the Indian post was neutralized.
This was the first incident of ceasefire violation by the Indian forces in 2018. Last year witnessed an unprecedented escalation in ceasefire violations by the Indian forces resulting in the Shahadat (Martyrdom) of 52 Pakistani civilians and injuries to 254.

Pakistan has also urged that the Indian side should permit the United Nations Military Observers group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) to play its mandated role as per the UN Security Council resolutions.
