NATO oil tankers set ablaze in eastern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan: At least five NATO fuel tankers were set ablaze by the Taliban militants in Afghanistan’s eastern Wardak province on Monday.

The incident took place in Saydabad district of Wardak province when a convoy of the NATO oil tankers was passing through the area.

The local officials said that the Taliban militants also killed a police officer guarding the convoy and injured five others in the attack.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the ambush, saying that as many as 17 fuel tankers and trucks were destroyed.
