WASHINGTON: The Pakistani ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani has said that a robust Pakistan-US defence partnership continues to remain a factor for stability and security in the region.
The envoy was speaking at a reception hosted by Pakistan’s embassy in Washington to mark the Defence Day of Pakistan. The event was organized to honor the services of the Armed Forces of Pakistan towards defence and security of the country.
Jilani commended contributions and sacrifices of the Armed Forces in the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants and underscored Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to defeat terrorism on its soil.
The senior representatives of the US government, think-tanks as well as military attach’s from the diplomatic community attended the function.
