AfghanistanDND exclusive: British team arrested Afghanis travelling fake documents at Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD: A special team of British officers deputed at Islamabad International Airport has busted a gang of Afghanis travelling aboard on Pakistani passports. Arrest of 5 Afghanis travelling on fake documents to United Kingdom made possible when British authorities deputed its own team instead of trusting Pakistani Immigration authorities and sources claimed that this racket was operative in Pakistan since long and sending Afghans who managed to get visas on Pakistani passports, reports Dispatch News Desk (DND).

Sources claimed that preliminary investigation revealed alarming facts that these Afghanis were buying readable passports from 500 to 1200 US dollars from passport authorities of Pakistan.

“Around 4 millions  Afghanis are living in Pakistan since Soviet-Afghan war and since their language is Pushto therefore it is always difficult to arrest them and thousands of Pushtuns rackets are working to manage their fake identification as Pakistanis”, commented a senior journalist Qamar Anwar who has been covering Immigration services of Pakistan.
