WAGAH, Pakistan: The Attari-Wagah Border Retreat Ceremony has been called off due to Coronavirus.
The Sources in the Border Security Forces (BSF) was cited by the Indian media as saying that the decision to put the public gathering at the Attari-Wagah border at hold has been taken in view of the Coronavirus outbreak.
The Coronavirus has so far claimed 3,408 lives across the World while a total of 100,291 people have been infected with the virus.
The virus has also engulfed India wherein so far 31 Cases have merged whereas in Pakistan, six persons have been tested positive for the virus.
The Sources further said that the BSF troops will continue to perform the Retreat Ceremony which will be conducted without spectators.
The lowering of the Flags Ceremony at the Attari-Wagah border is a daily military practice that the security forces of Indian BSF and Pakistan Rangers have jointly followed since 1959. The spectators from both the Countries also flock to the border to witness the Ceremony will full enthusiasm.
