Sold Out: Ufone U5 Smartphone becomes unavailable in market

KARACHI: Ufone recently launched its own smartphone with a price tag of Rs 5,999 only, making it the cheapest Quadcore smartphone available in the market in the category, outsmarting all competitors, specially Q-mobile.

   

Initial reports suggest that Ufone U5 Smartphone received tremendous reviews from the users. Consequently, due to high demand and increased interest. It is now reported that the smartphone is not available in the market.

Our readers tell that Ufone Smart U5 was sold-out of the shelves in Karachi initially, however, it is now not available in almost every other city.

When contacted, Ufone representatives clarified the situation saying, “Due to the excellent response, we are experiencing a demand-supply gap, which will be filled in the coming week, as the smart phone will be available yet again at our customer service centres across the country.”

The device offers reasonable battery backup and looks fine given the price at which it’s being offered.

With the introduction of 3G technology back in April, the use of smart phones has seen a boom, whereby people from every age group are seen interested in owning a smart phone, specially the elderly are switching from ageing Symbian phones or dumb phones to smart phones, android phones in particular due to range of services which are being offered.
