LAHORE, Pakistan: Muhammad Amin Ansari, the father of Zainab who fell victim to rape and then murder in Punjab’s Kasur area, has expressed satisfaction to have received justice after her daughter’s murder Imran Ali was hanged to death on Wednesday morning.
The 24-year-old Imran Khan was executed at Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail in the presence of Amin Ansari and the Magistrate Adil Sarwar.

Imran Khan was sentenced to death by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Sajjad Ahmad on February 17, 2018 for brutally killing nine minor girls including Zainab prior to have subjected them to rape.
Talking to media in Lahore, Zainab’s father said that today my dejected heart was pacified after my daughter’s murder and rapist met his fate.
However, he added that it would be better if his plea for publically hanging of Imran Khan was accepted, adding that such kind of criminals should be hanged publicly for giving a lesson to all such evil minds.
It is pertinent to mention here that a two-member division bench of the Lahore High Court comprising Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi and Justice Sardar Mohammad Shamim Khan dismissed a petition of Amin Ansari for public hanging of Imran Ali
The bench observed that deciding the mode and place of execution of any sentence was the domain of the government and the court had nothing to do with it.
