WWF-Pakistan collaborates with Daraz.pk hitting of their first CSR initiative

KARACHI: WWF-Pakistan and Daraz.pk have signed an agreement to initiate the sale of WWF-Pakistan’s Panda Products online.

WWF-Pakistan is the first NGO signed on by Daraz.pk as part of their CSR initiative, giving people across Pakistan an online retail solution for all Panda Products. Daraz.pk has made a brand specific page for WWF-products and as part of this collaboration, consumers will be able to purchase a large variety of WWF-Pakistan’s signature Panda school bags, mugs, key chains, Swiss knives, t-shirts, water bottles, table clocks and several other things, from the online portal.

The initiative is part of WWF’s vision that focuses on increasing revenue share from ecommerce. Pakistan has been identified as a high potential market because of the high mobile penetration and increasing usage of internet across the country.

Daraz.pk is the pioneer in revolutionising ecommerce in Pakistan. The online shopping portal currently offers a portfolio of over 400 brands and about 16,000 products, with over 1.2 million unique visitors each month. It is the flagship investment in Pakistan of parent company Rocket Internet – the world’s largest internet incubator.

Speaking on the occasion, Maleeha Habib, Assistant Manager at WWF-Pakistan, highlighted, “Now, people can contribute to WWF’s cause by purchasing Panda products online. Innovative partnerships like these will be mutually beneficial for both parties. Daraz.pk offers good quality products and the promise of a good service and now they are looking to promote good causes as well. In the long run, many more NGOs will be inducted for their customers to choose and support. ”

Daraz.pk is just as thrilled with their partnership with WWF-Pakistan, “We are very pleased to initiate this CSR initiative with WWF-Pakistan, as it is the first NGO we have partnered with and it is one of the many new exciting product categories we are currently adding on Daraz.pk. In addition to the plethora of fashion and lifestyle products on the website, we think it’s important to provide our customers the opportunity to buy products which support social causes in the country,” said Farees Shah, Co-Founder Daraz.pk.
