ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As Muslims are fully prepared to celebrate the religious festival of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) on Friday (December 01, 2017), traditional tempting desserts demand rises in the Country.

As per our traditions most of the people distribute sweet desserts on the holy occasion and with each passing day the preparation for the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) reaching its climax.

As like other festivity, food is an important part of this occasion as well. Usually a large batch of something sweet or sometimes savory is prepared and shared with the unprivileged, neighbors and families.

“I for one always look forward to the “durood walay chawal” on this particular day”, said Mariya Suleman a housewife.

‘Sawiyaan’ or sweet vermicelli is always a delight to have on all occasions, it is simply prepared and doesn’t take much time as well, Sobia Alam said.

“I like zarda (coloured rice ), the most commonly made dish on all religious occasions in Pakistan, i still remember the ‘Zarday ki Deg’ my grandmother use to prepare on every Eid Milad-un-Nabi,” said Hina Javed.

Another hot demanded sweet on the occasions is sooji ka halwa’ that especially cooked in most of the houses on large scale to share their joy on the beloved holy Prophet Hazrat  Muhammad’s (P.B.U.H) birthday and distributed amongst neighbors and poor households.

Suji ka Halwa is a Pakistani traditional dessert it mostly served in occasions and every person like to eat, he added.
