Muslims across the World follow the path of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) with belief throughout their lives; however on the eve of Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrated each year on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, they tend to abide by the Last Prophet’s (PBUH) preachings even more vigorously.
Like the past, Eid Milad-un-Nabi will again be celebrated across the Muslim World including in Pakistan on December 1. In a bid to celebrate the Day and highlight its importance, a number of programmes will be organized in mosques and various institutions in which special light is shed on Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) life. In addition, houses and markets will be decorated as well as numerous processions will also be taken out across the Country to mark Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
Not only the Ulema (religious scholars) in their sermons will narrate the stories of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) pious life and persuade the Muslims to follow his guidance but also Naat Khawani events will be held.
Naat – a poetry with full of praise for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) – has always been an integral part of a Muslim’s spiritual/religious life. Though throughout the year, Naat Khawans (People who recite Naats) use to read Naats devotionally but a few of them including Owais Raza Qadri, Hafiz Tahir Qadri, Ahmed Raza Qadri, Farhan Ali Qadri, Junaid Jamshed, Haji Bilal Attari, Saira Naseem, Hooria Faheem, and Sohail Qadri have also prepared special Naats on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (12th Rabi-ul-Awwal).
