KARACHI: The Sindh Government has extended the policing powers of Rangers for further three months in Karachi, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Wednesday.

In an official notification issued today by the provincial government, three-month extension have been given to the paramilitary troops’ powers  that include search, raids, arrests and probing a suspect whenever and where ever required.

The Rangers are performing special task of maintaining law and order and providing security along with the police force in Karachi. They have conducted various operations against criminals in restive parts of Karachi over the past few months, rounding up hundreds of alleged criminals.
