LAHORE: The Flood Forecasting Division of Metrological Department has warned of high to very high flood in River Chenab.

Chenab at Marala is likely to attain very high flood level ranging between 400‚000 cusecs to 500‚000 cusecs during the period 8.00 pm today (Wednesday) to 10.00 am tomorrow (Thursday).

The River at Khanki is likely to attain high to very high flood level ranging between 400‚000 cusecs to 500‚000 cusecs 06.00 am to 10.00 pm tomorrow.

River Chenab at Qadirabad is likely to attain high to very high flood level ranging 400‚000 cusecs to 500‚000 cusecs from 12.00 pm to midnight tomorrow.

According to the Met department, severe flash flooding is expected in the Nullahs and Hill Torrents of East Balochistan & DG Khan division during next three days.

Exceptionally high flood level is expected in River Jhelum at Mangla (Upstream).Very high flood level is expected in River Indus at Chashma. High flood level is expected in River Indus at Kalabagh & Taunsa and River Kabul at Nowshera and Chenab at Marala‚ Khanki & Qadirabad during next 24-hours.

High to very high flood level is expected in Nullahs of River Chenab (Bhimber‚ Bhundar‚ Halsi‚ Daulti‚ Aik & Palku ) & Nullahs of River Ravi (Deg‚ Bhed‚ Hasri‚ Jhajri‚ Bassantar‚ Bein‚ Ujh‚ Tarnah) during next two days.
