RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Interest free loan limit up to Rs 100,000 was announced to be extended to those young individuals of Punjab who have completed training of Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), by the provincial government on Wednesday.

“Rs 500 million has been earmarked for the loan scheme which includes three different categories for the eligible applicants,” said a public awareness message here.

The scheme is termed as a milestone ahead to provide respectable self-employment opportunity to the youth of the province by Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif under banner of TEVTA-Akhuwat.

The minimum loan limit is Rs 10,000 while its upper limit is Rs 100,000 for every interested individual and it would be extended to those who had already sought skilfull training in any professional trade from TEVTA and want to expand his or her business or initiating new business.

The loans are required to be returned from 20 to 30 months time.

The aspiring candidates who fulfill the requirements can apply to their nearest Akhuwat center.
