The ruling party in Country’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) – has claimed to have built and upgraded 2428 schools across the province from 2013 to 2018.

As per the PTI KP (Official) twitter account, during the said period, the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government built 692 new primary schools, upgraded 571 primary schools to middle level, 528 middle schools to high school level, and 327 high schools to higher secondary school level.

The PTI government also built 151 new government middle primary schools, seven cluster hostels, and 152 non-development/non-ADP schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2013 to 2018.

While giving year-wise breakup, the PTI KP (Official) twitter account stated that in the year 2017-18, a total of 347 new schools were built or upgraded in the province.

In the year 2017-18, the PTI government built 15 new primary schools, upgraded 83 primary schools to middle level, 70 middle schools to high school level, and 60 high schools to higher secondary school level.

Likewise, 20 government middle primary schools, two cluster hostels, and 37 non-development/non-ADP schools were built in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the said period.

Prior to that, the PTI government built and upgraded 549 schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the year 2016-17.

In the year 2016-17, 132 new primary schools, 25 government middle primary schools, one cluster hostel and 14 non-development schools were built. Whereas 151 primary schools were upgraded to middle level, 129 middle schools were upgraded to high school level, and 97 high schools were upgraded to higher secondary school level.

In the year 2015-16, 602 new primary schools were built or upgraded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As many as 170 new primary schools, 45 government middle primary schools, one cluster hostel and 32 non-development schools were built. While 135 primary schools were upgraded to middle level, 131 middle schools were upgraded to high school level, and 88 high schools were upgraded to higher secondary school level.

Similarly in the year 2014-15, 683 new primary schools were built or upgraded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 214 new primary schools, 51 government middle primary schools, three cluster hostel and 62 non-development schools were built. While 138 primary schools were upgraded to middle level, 147 middle schools to high school level, and 67 high schools to higher secondary school level.

In addition, a total of 247 schools were built or upgraded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the year 2013-14. As per the break up, 101 new primary schools, 10 government middle primary schools and six non development schools were built whereas 64 primary schools were upgraded to middle level, 51 middle schools were upgraded to high school level, and 15 high schools were upgraded to higher secondary school level.
