SocialKPK approves 75 uplift projects worth Rs 22,817.981 billions

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held its meeting under the Chairmanship of Muhammad Azam Khan Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and approved 75 uplifts projects worth Rs 22,817.981 billions.

The meeting was attended by its members and respective administrative secretaries.

The forum considered 92 projects pertaining to different sectors including Energy & Power, Elementary & Secondary Education, Higher Education, Sports & Tourism, Administration, Communication & Works, Public Health Engineering, Local Government, Finance, Relief & Rehabilitation, Health, Social Welfare, Irrigation, Home, Housing, Industries, Minerals Development and ST & IT Departments for the uplift of the province.

The forum approved 75 projects with an estimated cost of Rs. 22,817.981 billions and deferred 13 projects, withdrew one project and dropped three projects due to inadequate project designs.

In the Elementary & Secondary Education Sector approved projects were provision of scholarship under Stoori Da Pakhtunkhwa programme for the position holders of Government Schools all the boards examinations of the province.

Approved projects of Higher Education sector were construction of BS blocks in Government College, Establishment of Govt: Girls Degree College at Oghi Manshera, Establishment of Govt: Girls Degree College in Allai Battagram, Establishment of Govt: Girls Degree College in Lower Tanawal Abbottabad, Provision of Scholarship under Stoori Da Pakhtunkhwa Programme for the position holders of all Government Colleges of All Boards of Elementary and Secondary Education of KP”.

“In the Sports & Tourism sector only approved project was establishment of international standard multipurpose Gymnasium at Abbottabad”.

In the buildings sector, only approved project was F/S, Design & Construction of Sub-Divisional Complex at Jehangira, Nowshera and Besham, Shangla and the approved projects in the Roads sector were PCC Internal Road of Village Khanpur UC Khanpur District Haripur , Pavement of roads/streets for UC Saray Salah, Shah Maqsood, Rahana, Ali Khan, Darwesh, Pind Hashim Khan, UC South & Pandak of District Haripur, a) Improvement/ Rehabilitation of service roads from Northern bypass upto Akbar pura and Jaba Daudzai village pk-09 to pk-13 b) Const/Rehab. of Mian Gujar to Charsadda road via Damne Afgani, Kharakay and shakarpura etc road, Peshawar, Construction of road from Jalozai to Kotli Kalan Distt: Nowshera, Construction of Nehag Dara Road (Phase-II) District Dir Upper, Construction of RCC Bridge Over Dhoor at Mohra Mumdu Mankara, District Haripur, Rehabilitation of Sarai Saleh to Pind Jamal Khan Road, District Haripur, Rehabilitation & Improvement of Shah Maqsood Maira Road in district Haripur having a total length of 3.180 kms, Mayar to Bacha Khan Access road including Link road Chakaro Pul to Gharib Abad in Distict Mardan, Rehabilitation & Improvement of Swabi road to Village Fatima road in District Mardan (Length = 7.225 Km) , Rehabilitation & Improvement of People Chowk to Ghazi Baba Raod in District Mardan (Length = 7.650 Km), a) Construction/ Repair/ Rehabilitation/ BT of a) Internal and link Roads in Mingora city & Service roads from bypass at Main Mingora City and b) Kohistangat Saidu Sharif to Loe Banr District Swat, Construction of Road from Kalam to Mahodand Lake (27 Km) District Swat,Reconstruction/Rehabilitation of Road from Narmi Khel to Miryan 15 K.M District Bannu”.

Approved projects in the DWSS sector were water supply scheme Risalpur, District Nowshera, Rehabilitation of Distribution system Municipal Committee area. District Abbottabad, WSS schemes and distribution work, in PK-82 District Swat, Water supply schemes at a) Wainai UC Ghalegay. b) Cheel UC Kokarai, c)Inzargay, Batra, asgaray UC Manglawar, d) Nawagay UC Galakay. e) Gogdara UC Tanodag, District Swat, Water Supply scheme at UCs, Bahadar Kot, Togh-1, Togh-2, Dhoda, Bilitang, Kharmatu, Gumbat, Chorlaki, Khushal Garh & Ziarat Sheikh Allah Dad District Kohat, WSS schemes and distribution system in PK-10 Peshawar, Construction of Water Supply & Drainage System in UCs Jalozai and Spin Khak under (IDPs/Refugees affected area) District Nowshera, Installation of Water supply Tube wells along with Distribution system 04 No. in PK-32 District Swabi, Installation of Water supply Tube wells alongwith Distribution system 4 No. in PK-33 District Swabi, WSS Schemes and distribution works in PK-25 District Mardan, WSS Schemes and distribution system in Pk-27 District Mardan, WSS scheme and Distribution work, in PK-88 District Shangla, Solarization of 200 schemes both existing and new water supply schemes, Gravity Schemes and High Head Schemes without Solar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Master Planning of Un-served villages to ensure 100 percent coverage of Drinking Water Supply in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,

In the Urban Development sector approved projects were “Construction of Service Roads on Ring Road (South Section) Peshawar from GT Road Zakori Flyover to Hayatabad Toll Plaza, Widening and Improvement of existing Jamrud Road from Tambwano Mor to Ist Entry of Hayatabad including amalgamation, Manufacture, Supply, and Erection& Installation of overhead pedestrian bridges in Peshawar. In the Finance Sector only approved project was “Reforms Monitoring Unit in Finance Department.

In the Relief & Rehabilitation sector approved projects were establishment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122) in District Kohat, Establishment of Emergency Rescue Services (Rescue 1122) in District Swat, Rehabilitation of Flood Damaged Water Supply Scheme During July/August 2015 (Upper Chitral, 33 Schemes), Rehabilitation of Flood Damaged Water Supply Scheme During July/August 2015 (Lower Chitral, 44 Schemes).

In the Health Sector approved projects were establishment of Nowshera Medical College (Phase-I), Up-gradation of BHU Aza Khel to RHC, District Peshawar.

In the Social Welfare sector only approved project was establishment of Model Institutes for Street Children (Kid Haven/Zamung Kor) at Nasapa Payan Flats, Peshawar.

In the Irrigation sector approved projects were construction of Flood Protection wall along Panjpir Madrassa and Village on left bank of Badri Nullah District Swabi, Construction of Flood Protection Works in District Chitral-Rs 10.00 million (Jughore Kuru, Shoghore), Construction of Flood protection Works for protection of village abadies and agriculture land on Pir khle Totaken Khawar-RS 6.00 million, Extension of existing Flood Protection Work for the protection of agriculture lands graveyards including clearance of drain in Toru area District Mardan-Rs.7.00 million, Extension of existing Flood protection on left bank of Kalpani nullah to protect village abadies and agriculture lands and lift irrigation scheme near Mayar village district Mardan-Rs.7.00 million, Construction of Flood Protection work at Sawal Dher Bakrai Khpa Mardan Rs. 7.00 million, Rehabilitation /improvement of existing training works on left side of Kurram river in District Bannu7 Rs. 10 million, Improvement of Marginal bund from RD 55+000 to 85+000 in reaches D.I Khan Rs. 10.00, Construction of Flood Protection bund for protection of village Yarik in Takwara nullah District D.I Khan Rs. 25.00 million, FPW near Malikpur village Mansehra, river Chak Kalampur Haripur, Jammu, Ghazi area Haripur- Rs. 70 million, Construction of Flood Embankment from Kheshki to Nowshera Kalan on Left Side of Kabul River, District Nowshera, Construction and Improvement of Flood Protection Bund / Canal Patrol Road and Irrigation Channels in District Bannu, Up-gradation of roads along canal systems in KPK, Rehabilitation of Canal Patrol Roads in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, – Revamping and Providing Flood Protection Works in Hill Torrents in Nowshera District, Construction of Gadwalian Dam, District Haripur, Construction of Flood Mitigation Structures in KPK, Revamping of Budni Nullah in District Peshawar.

In the Home Sector approved projects were re-construction of District Jail, Swat, Special Development Support for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and Creation of Model Police Stations (SDSP-V), Construction of Watch Towers in Cantonment & Rural Division for Enhanced Security in Funnel Area of Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar.

In the Housing sector only approved project was construction of Office Accommodation for PHA at Hayatabad Peshawar.

In the Industries sector approved projects were “One Liner Provision for Improvement & Development of Technical Education, Improvement, Rehabilitation and Modernization of Industrial Estate Gadoon Amazai, Construction of 132 KV Grid Station at Industrial Estate Hattar (To be Contributed by PESCO.

In the Mines & Minerals sector only approved project was study for Economic Evaluation & Reserve Estimation of Metallic Minerals in Malakand & Hazara Division.

In the ST& IT sector only approved project was “Establishment of Computer Labs with Solar System in Govt: Institutions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
