Social'Home-made meals' services rising popularity in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The popularity of homemade food delivery services are gaining ground in the Federal Capital through providing respectable livelihood to both men and women.

Most of people are concerned about their health and as well as quality of food so they preferred to order home-made cook food.

The home-cooks said the rise in demand for homely meals is because an increasing number of working people lack the time to cook but prefer home-cooked food over restaurant meals.

“The alternative to cooking at home these days include eating out and food delivery from restaurants, which are expensive and unhealthy depending on what you order,” says Cook Hina Iman.

“Most of my customers are working women and men who are bachelors and are either doing their jobs in capital city”, she added.

Another cook Aslam Yaseen said that mostly people want food cooked with less oil and less salt and I cater to their needs”.

According to strict observance of hygiene, he said use of fresh ingredients and the “use of just enough oil” are what make home food different from restaurant food.

Ushna Ali another cook said she makes her own masala and feels that is what makes her customers come back for more.

“We make food the way we do for our loved ones”, she said adding “We don’t comprise on quality. We make the dishes with outmost care and love”.

“I feel good when my customers text me and say they enjoyed the hot, home-made meal at their doorstep,” she added.
