MULTAN: Former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani contacted his kidnapped son, Ali Haider Gilani, via video link while the kidnappers demanded Rs 6 crore for his release, media reports on Tuesday.

According to reports, former National Assembly lawmaker Javed Paracha also confirmed former prime minister’s contact with his son.

Ali Haider Gilani was kidnapped on May 9 by unidentified gunmen while a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) corner meeting was ongoing on Multan’s Matti-Tal road.
