ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that the federal government will extend every possible assistance to the Sindh Government for restoration of peace in Karachi.

The Prime Minister was speaking at a briefing in Islamabad on Monday regarding law and order situation in Karachi.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan briefed the participants of the meeting on law and order situation in the country with particular focus on Karachi. He also presented a report on Karachi situation to the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister directed the Interior Minister to finalize proposals to be presented in the forthcoming federal cabinet meeting on Karachi so that a comprehensive strategy could be evolved to improve the situation in the city.
