MULTAN, Pakistan: Drive against substandard food is continue as the Mutlan district food team collected 102 samples from variou eateries in the city during October, of them 60 were found substandard.
Food Inspector Naeem Changezi told media in Multan on Saturday that the team raided at various places of the city and collected 102 food samples from eateries and sent them to Government Public analyst laboratory for analysis, of them 60 were declared substandard.
He said the food department had also sent challans against the owners of substandard food outlets to the court for action.
He said that they had also visited Jamia Sweets & bakers Shah Rukn-e-Alam today and got six samples including four of sweets, one milk and one biscuits and sent them to laboratory.
He said the legal action would be taken after the report of samples.
Changezi said that raids were being conducted on daily basis during the ongoing adulteration campaign to provide quality food items to the citizens.
