ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) in collaboration with the Peoples Commission for Minorities Rights (PCMR) will organize the Second People’s Inquiry on “Alleged forced conversion/forced marriage of minority women” at Margala Hotel in Islamabad on March 14.

The inquiry will be held as part of the project “Advocacy for Religious Freedom in Pakistan” to share case studies and fact findings with law makers, opinion makers, parliamentarians and stakeholders on the cases of forced conversions of minority women in Pakistan.

The inquiry will be headed by a Jury of Honorable Retired Justices of Pakistan and they will produce an informal verdict which is not legally binding but it will advise the decision makers to who have authority to make well informed decisions.

The attendees of the Second People’s Inquiry on “Alleged forced conversion/forced marriage of minority women” will be lawyers, journalists, activists, educationists, opinion makers.

The event will begin with the welcome note by the Executive Director CSJ Peter Jacob followed by the screening of a documentary “Yeh Who Sehr Tau Naheen”.

The victims from Punjab and Sindh will give their testimonies befor the Jury with evidences.

Afterwards, the PCMR Members will shed light on “Forced Conversion: They Myth and Reality” while in the end, the Jury will deliver its verdict.
