ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As the temperature went down marking the commencement of winter season in the Federal Capital like elsewhere in the Country, a large number of citizens thronged boutiques and ready-made cloth markets to buy winter wears.

Big shopping malls and boutiques were seen displaying sweaters, woven caps, shawls, mufflers, jackets, shirts and trousers attracting a large number of buyers, both men and women as their clothes are selling like hot cakes.

The outlets selling stitched clothes were getting the major share of the buyers. “Buying fabric and then getting it stitched properly from tailors as per modern designs is a tough job,” customers said.

“Now is the age of advancement and competition. One can buy new fashionable clothes from boutiques at reasonable price,” she added.

Customers are becoming more and more choosy while purchasing these wears, said a shopkeeper Ali Aman.

They not only select clothes which are best in quality but also try to get these at nominal rates,” said Jawad Ali, a salesman at a ready-made clothes’ shop.

“A household woman Rehana was happy with her shopping, as she got stylish and quality woollen sweaters and jackets for her children at reasonable prices.

A boutique owner said that they try to display quality clothes at reasonable price to enable middle class families buy clothes of their choice.
