KARACHI, Pakistan: Founder Trustee of the Childlife Foundation, Karachi, Dr Naseeruddin Mehmood assured full cooperation to deal with children who are affected by different ailments in Thar and surrounding areas of Karachi.
Talking on a private news channel on Thursday, he said his organization is actively working to help the poor children of Sindh area who are suffering from different diseases and could not afford treatment in proper hospitals.
He said that the Childlife Foundation was established in 2010 as a result of floods in the country and precarious condition of the civil hospitals in Karachi which compelled them to start new emergencies there with all latest equipments.
He said that huge funds have been collected for this purpose and the new emergencies and hospitals in Karachi are equipped with latest medical facilities and medicines for these poor children.
He acknowledged the services of the Sindh govt who helps them in providing electricity, water, and other medical equipments according to their budget yet he added there was still a gap to fulfil so he created funds from different private sources such as donations, zakat and sadaqaat etc.
He appreciated also the public of Pakistan to share their burden and help them financially to deal with emergency like situation in the city and provide them health care facilities to help poorest children of the country added that no foreign assistance have been taken in this regard as 80 per cent money being utilized inside Karachi and rest 20 per cent on the people outside the country.
