ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Marvi Memon has said that innovative system was being introduced in BISP to make it more transparent, efficient, and effective.

Talking to Radio Pakistan, she said resurvey was also being carried out for inclusion of more beneficiaries.

Marvi Memon said handicraft centers were being established to make women skilful.

She said women living in far-flung areas would be facilitated to sell their handicrafts online.

Marvi Memon said BISP was upgrading its payment mechanism to biometric system that would make the payment procedure more efficient and easy.

She said BISP intends to harness entrepreneurial potential of its beneficiaries through E-commerce. BISP E-Commerce initiative would provide market access to beneficiaries making them self-reliant, she added.
