SocialAIOU introduces DCS system for retired employees

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University has introduced Direct Credit System (DCS) for the convenience of its retired employees enabling them to receive their monthly pension through bank accounts.

Monthly pension of the retired employees has been directly credited to their respective banks accounts from this month, said Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui on Tuesday. While crediting the pension, the employees were informed through SMS message as well, he added.

This facilitates the employees to draw their pension even through ATM. Comfort of retired employees is highly important for him since, they are the people who spent their life-time  for the development of this University.

The University has achieved most respectable position among the people and that was the result of their hard work, he added.

The University has set-up a Facilitation Lounge at the University’s main campus for the retired employees as well for their occasional sitting and get-togethers. The facilitation Center has been named as Welcome Home Lounge.

Dr. Shahid Siddiqui said it was established in recognition of their services, giving them due respect.

The retired officers who rendered outstanding services are the precious assets for the University and we would benefit from their experiences, he added.

It may be mentioned that the AIOU is first one in the education circles, which adopted DCS system and set up a well-furnished separate space for their sitting in the office even after their retirement.
