MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan: At least eight passengers were killed and 10 others critically injured on Saturday when a van plunged into a deep nullah near Rawalakot, the capital of the Poonch District of Azad Kashmir.

Police sources said that the incident took place at Gohi Naala near Rawalakot some 90 kilometers south of Muzaffarabad.

They said that the van was enroute to Rawalkot from Rawalpindi when its diver lost control over the steering and it fell into the nullah at Gohi Naala.

The dead and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, they added.
