ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The 65th birth anniversary of Rashid Minhas Nishan-e-Haider who lost his live for the cause of motherland and frustrated the nefarious design of his instructor to hijack the Pakistan Air Force plane  in 1971.

According to private news channels, Rashid Minhas joined the Pakistan Air Force on March 13, 1971 as a commissioned G.D pilot.

Ever since he was a child, Rashid Minhas cherished collecting models of warplanes and fighter jets.

Rashid Minhas laid down his life for the nation on his very first solo flight. All of a sudden, on his very first solo flight, his instructor Matiur Rehman jumped onto his aircraft and demanded that the plane be taken to India.

Rashid Minhas foiled the enemy’s plot and crashed the airplane at a distance of 32 miles from the Indian border. In this way, Rashid Minhas defied the enemy and embraced martyrdom like a valiant officer.

The Kamra airbase in Attock has been attributed with Rashid Minhas’ name and he was buried at the army graveyard in Karachi.

According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation. We will not allow the Americans to gag the entire council with their hands in an effort to encourage further continuation of Israel's ruthless operation," he said in a speech at the Security Council.
