Social300 anesthesia experts & technologists to be recruited in Punjab

LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid on Monday presided over a high level meeting of the Health Department in Lahore, which decided to recruit 300 anesthesia experts and technologists.

The meeting decided that anesthesia experts will be recruited through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).

It was also decided to train 400 medical officers as anesthesia experts. The training of medical officers as anesthesia experts will begin from January 2019.

It was told in the meeting that 34 medial officers having completed the anaesthetist training are being sent to district and tehsil hospitals in phases.

Dr Yasmin Rashid directed to complete the mechanism of referral system from district hospitals by January 31.

The minister said that consultation on legal draft is underway to establish regional health authorities. She said that the provincial government also prepared a plan to revamp 100 basic health units.
